Mgbechi Ugonna Erondu, M.D., M.F.A. was a 2011 PiAf Fellow with the Botswana- Baylor International Pediatric HIV Initiative. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Princeton and certificates in African Studies and Creative Writing. She completed her Pediatric Anesthesiology training at Texas Children’s Hospital (Baylor) and is a graduate of the U of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop where she received a Humanities Distinction and recipient of the 2016 Plughaupt Prize for Fiction. She has completed fellowship in pediatric palliative medicine at UCSF 8and will be joining faculty at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital – Stanford.
